Anu Modi: A Mega Job Fest was organized by the Placement Cell of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, Chandigarh, Dr. Abha Sudarshan, Principal, was the Chief Guest on this occasion. She inaugurated the Job Fest by lighting the ceremonial lamp. In her inaugural address Dr. Sudarshan said that the aim of organizing such Job Fests is to give the job seekers an opportunity to learn more about potential employers which helps in building a strong network of job aspirants and recruiters. Dr. Mukesh Chauhan, Coordinator of the job fest shared various guidelines and instructions for both companies and candidates. Earlier, the representatives of the participating companies were felicitated with mementos by Principal, Dr. Sudarshan. As many as 30 companies from various sectors participated in the job fest. Some of these included HDFC Bank ,HDFC Sales, HDFC Talent acquisition Partner, Aviators Hub, Future Homes, Tele Performance, App Workx, Leom International, Jewel and Me, Dial a bank, Financial Guru, ICICI Bank, Connect Telecom, Net Smartz, DBC International, PRCC, Bulls eye etc.
There was an overwhelming response as more than 1050 students got themselves registered.Recruiters shortlisted the candidates on the basis of direct interviews, written tests, aptitude tests and group discussions. Most students preferred to enroll in banking, insurance, accounting, finance, sales and marketing, Aviation, hardware configuration, Logistics, Education, Marketing, HR, Web Designing, Customer Support, Immigration, real estate, Training and skill enhancement, software and Web Designing.
